How to Properly Disinfect your House in 6 Steps

How to Properly Disinfect your House in 6 Steps

In this time of Covid we are exceptionally aware of cleanliness and practicing safe distancing procedures. We understand why it is important to properly disinfect your house. No matter the season, viruses and bacteria will always try to get into our homes. Here Are 6 Handy Tips To Keep Them Away:

1. Air Out Your Rooms
Airing out your rooms allows for the dispersal of bad odors, bugs and germs. Proper air flow ensures that microbes and bacteria don’t stay in the air.

2. Cleaning Your Bathroom
Every use of your shower, bath or sink increases the opportunity for the growth of mould. If you use your bathroom daily, it is important to properly clean your bathroom every week.

3. Cleaning Your Kitchen
The kitchen is most important and is a room that requires daily attention. As the main hub of most homes it sees the most traffic. We handle vegetables, meats, dairy products, and so many ingredients that require cleaning our kitchen elements worktop, hood, refrigerator, and our utensils, cutting boards, knives, several times a day.

4. Clean Your floor
The floor is also known to carry a large number of bacteria and, especially if you have pets. Everytime you walk from inside to outside and back again you are spreading more germs. It is therefore recommended to clean your floor with some cleaning products several times a week, even every day.

5. Disinfect Everyday Items
Most often, we frequently forget about the items that we use the most. However, our cell phones, computer keyboards, and remote controls are real breeding grounds for germs.

6. Wash Your Sheets Frequently
Your sheets need to be washed more often than you probably think. In a very short amount of time your sheets get covered with dead skin cells, oils from the skin, saliva and sweat. This can make for a dust mite paradise.

These are just a few tasks that you can add your cleaning regimen, if it isn’t already!
